ISPA publishes list of finalists for 22nd annual Internet Awards
The 2020 ISPA Awards which are the 22nd time the awards have taken place was due to be presented in July, but the pandemic has made something of a mess of the summer calendar and the awards will now take place on 18th November 2020. The awards will hopefully be able to place in person but if restrictions on large gatherings are still in place the event will take place by video stream.
The shortlist is the result of the initial sifting by the judges in the non technical categories and the hosting and broadband shortlists are determined by technical testing ran by thinkbroadband. The shortlist has some 67 nominees spread across twelve categories.

This year’s shortlisted ISPA Awards finalists demonstrate the high calibre and diversity of ISPs across the UK, who continue to drive growth and innovation across the internet industry. With broadband playing such an important role in keeping people connected during the crisis, and with a key part to play in the UK’s recovery, are all looking forward towards an exciting evening which showcases the very best that the UK industry has to offer.
ISPA Chair Andrew Glover
The nomination list was actually released on 16th June, but with all the changes happening from the numerous broadband roll-outs it has taken us a day to find time to get the shortlist online. That we are able to keep finding new FTTP and other broadband roll-outs highlights that the digital economy and Internet/Broadband industry has managed to keep working and rolling out new infrastructure while also handling the dramatic changes in usage patterns.

I'm not sure what the definition of "consumer ISP" is if Glide are on there, and their website doesnt list a residential service, just business and multi-tenant solutions?
I was under the impression "consumer" was generally used for residental providers?
